Peanut Butter and Jelly-O

You might think I'm crazy, but this recipe idea came to me in a dream! I love the combo of peanut butter and jelly, and so I thought, why not make grape Jell-O cups with a peanut butter cream on top? You guys..... we have been LOVING these little cups of goodness! They make the perfect snack, side, or dessert and will bring back all the feels of childhood. We can't get enough!

Peanut Butter and Jelly-O

Makes 8

2 (3 oz.) box grape or strawberry Jell-O

2 cups heavy cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons vanilla instant pudding mix

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Make Jell-O according to directions on the box. Pour into 8 cups (1/2 cup each) and refrigerate until firm, about 4 hours. To make the cream, add the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and pudding mix to a mixing bowl. Whisk together until it begins to thicken. Add the peanut butter and continue to whisk until stiff peaks form. Pipe or spoon on top of Jell-O cups.

Step-by-step tutorial:

Gather your ingredients. You will need 1-2 boxes of Jell-O (grape and strawberry are my suggestions, but I think lots of flavors could work), heavy cream, powdered sugar, 1 box of Jell-O Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix, and peanut butter. Each box of Jell-O makes 4 servings. The peanut butter cream makes enough for 8 servings.

Make the Jell-O according to the package directions.

Pour into serving cups. I found these "snack" cups at Walmart and they are the perfect size for a 1/2-cup serving. Refrigerate until firm.

To make the peanut butter cream, add 2 cups heavy cream to a mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons pudding mix. Whisk until it starts to become thick, then add 1/2 cup peanut butter.

Continue whisking until stiff peaks form. Keep refrigerated until serving.

When ready to serve, pipe or spoon the peanut butter cream onto the Jell-O cups.

The cream is just the perfect amount of creaminess and peanut butter flavor. Not too much with just the right sweetness. The grape is my favorite flavor combo with peanut butter. But we've also tried strawberry and it was yummy too.

When you serve these little cups of nostalgia, you will get some funny faces at first, until they try it! Everyone LOVES it!

I've always been a fan of whipped cream on Jell-O, so this just made sense.

This peanut butter cream is SO GOOD! You could use it to frost chocolate cupcakes, top chocolate pudding, or dip fruit in it! Strawberries and bananas are amazing!

But I hope you'll give the Peanut Butter and Jelly-O a try! It's such a fun spoonful that brings smiles all around!
