Pear Faces

Pear faces have been a favorite of mine since I was little. I would request them along with spaghetti for EVERY birthday dinner. There is something so yummy about pears and cheddar cheese together! Add some raisins and maraschino cherries, and you've got the perfect fruit dish to go with any meal. The best part is that everyone can customize them and no pear face will look alike! Your kiddos will have a blast eating these!

Pear Faces

Serves 5-6

1 (15 oz.) can halved pears, drained

1 box raisins

Maraschino cherries, drained and sliced

Shredded cheddar cheese

Place all the pear halves in bowls with the outside of the pear up. Using the raisins, cherries, and cheese, make individual faces. Serve immediately.

Step-by-step tutorial:

Gather your ingredients. You will need a can of pear halves, raisins, maraschino cherries, and shredded cheddar cheese.

Place the pears with the centers down in small bowls. Using the raisins, make eyes and nose. Using the cherries, make mouths. Using the shredded cheddar cheese, make hair.

Let the kiddos be creative! My son made a baby by placing the pear upside down and only using one shred of cheese.

My daughter is not a fan of raisins, so she just went with only cherry pieces for her face.

This face actually looks like it's winking! And those voluptuous lips! Oh my. Any way you do it, they are so tasty and fun to eat! If you haven't had cheese with pears before, you are in for a real treat! And just wait until you try my Cheddar Pear Pie!
