Step-by-step tutorial:

Gather your ingredients. You will need a bag of puffed corn, either plain or butter flavor. For this recipe you need 5 oz. of corn puffs, so determine how much to use depending on your bag size. You also need brown sugar, butter, light corn syrup, vanilla, salt, and baking soda.

Preheat the oven to 250°F. Pour the puffed corn into a large mixing bowl. You need it big enough that you can easily stir. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), 1/4 cup light corn syrup, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Bring the mixture to a boil. Boil for 4 minutes, stirring constantly, until it starts to thicken.

Remove from the heat and stir in 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. Immediately pour over the corn puffs and stir to coat all. Pour out and spread onto the prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. After baking, let cool, then break into pieces.

I guarantee once you put this in a bowl and offer it to your family or friends, it will be gone in no time! You can't eat just one, or two, or even three. You will want to keep going back for more.

I love fun, unique snacks that are easy and most of all, VERY YUMMY. I hope you enjoy!
