4th of July Charcuterie Board

I love an excuse to build a fun charcuterie board for kiddos to enjoy! This patriotic board is full of all good things that will be loved by kids, adults, gluten free, nut free, just about everyone! Savory and sweet are both represented. I even made some blue raspberry Jello jigglers stars..... if that doesn't draw in kids, I don't know what will! We love our country and celebrating with delicious food!

4th of July Charcuterie Board

Serves 3-4

Blue tortilla chips

Salsa

Mozzarella cheese slices

Pepperoni sticks

Fresh mozzarella pearls

Salami or pepperoni slices

Blue raspberry Jello

White and red sixlets

Blueberries

Strawberries

White chocolate for melting

Blue decorating sugar

Step-by-step tutorial:

To make the red, white, and blue strawberries, cut the stems from your clean berries. In a glass measuring cup, melt the white chocolate according to package directions. With these particular white chips, I have to add some coconut oil to get the proper dipping consistency.

Dip each strawberry in the white chocolate about 2/3 in, then dip the bottom 1/3 in a bowl with the blue decorating sugar. Allow to set on parchment. I made mine ahead of time and put them in the refrigerator.

To make the meat and cheese skewers, you will need some pepperoni bites and some fresh mozzarella pearls. I got these darling blue star skewers on Amazon!

I cut pepperoni sticks into bite size pieces, then alternate cheese balls and pepperoni bites on the skewers. Keep refrigerated until ready to assemble.

Prepare the blue Jello according to package directions for Jigglers. Once set, sit the dish in some hot water (in the sink) and using a knife or cookie cutter, cut into desired shapes. I had a large star and a small star cutter.

I also used my larger star cutter to cut the mozzarella cheese slices. You could do any white cheese (swiss, gruyere, Jarlsberg, white American, etc.). My son loves pepperoni on crackers, so we did also put some sliced pepperoni on the board so he can eat them with crackers (not on the board.... ran out of room!).

If Jello jigglers aren't your thing, then you have forgotten your childhood! I haven't met a kid who doesn't grab for these first. Very fun to eat with fingers and tastes cold and delicious on hot summer days! Blueberries were also a must since we just went blueberry picking!

We are big fans of chips and salsa, so blue corn tortilla chips were a great addition to this board. We used some homemade salsa, but any red salsa will do!

The skewers turned out so cute and are very tasty.

The sweets are red and white sixlets candy and these patriotic strawberries. The toothpick flags are a fun way to add some flair!

Such a fun spread to celebrate the red, white and blue!

Get creative, find your own red, white, and blue foods, and make a patriotic board to remember!
