Chocolate Heaven Layer Bars

Updated: Aug 28, 2023

Are you ready for a seven-layer bar that is pure heaven? These seven layers include more chocolate than your average bar, and are made with a chocolate cookie crust! To top it all off, you drizzle it all with Nutella before pouring over the sweetened condensed milk. IT IS PHENOMENAL. Gooey deliciousness in every single bite.

Chocolate Heaven Layer Bars

Makes a 9x13" pan

1 (12 oz.) package gluten free Oreos (or favorite chocolate cookie)

8 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 cups milk, semisweet, or dark chocolate chips

1/2 cup toffee bits

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut

1/2 cup Nutella

1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9x13" pan with aluminum foil and lightly grease with cooking spray. In a food processor, crush the GF Oreos to crumbs. In a large microwavable bowl, melt the butter. Add the cookie crumbs and vanilla. Stir to combine, then press into the prepared pan. Over the crust, sprinkle evenly the chocolate chips, toffee bits, white chocolate chips, and coconut. Put the Nutella in a glass measuring cup and microwave on high for 30 seconds to thin and make pourable. Drizzle the warmed Nutella over the bars, then drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over all. Bake for about 25 minutes or until the edges are golden. Let them cool completely in the pan before removing to a cutting board and cutting into squares. Keep at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Step-by-step tutorial:

Gather your ingredients. You will need a package of gluten free Oreos, a stick of butter, vanilla, chocolate chips (milk, semisweet or dark), toffee bits (Heath makes a great variety, found in the baking isle), white chocolate chips, coconut, Nutella, and sweetened condensed milk.

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare a 9x13 pan by lining with aluminum foil (I use the nonstick foil) and lightly grease with cooking spray. Pour the entire package of Oreos into a food processor and crush to crumbs. In a large glass bowl, melt 8 tablespoons of butter in the microwave, then add the cookie crumbs.

Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and stir to combine all. Press into the prepared pan so it's an even layer. Sprinkle 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips on top evenly. That's the first 2 layers!

For layer #3, sprinkle the bars with 1/2 cup toffee bits. For layer #4, sprinkle with 1/2 cup white chocolate chips. For layer #5, sprinkle with 1/2 cup shredded coconut.

Spoon 1/2 cup Nutella in a glass measuring cup and microwave for about 30 seconds to get it warmed and pourable. For layer #6, drizzle the warmed Nutella over the bars. This is a super fun part! Can you see where these bars are going with all the chocolate?!

And last, but not least, for layer #7 pour the entire 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk over all.

Bake for 25-30 minutes. The edges and top will start to brown.

Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before removing the foil with the bars to a cutting board.

Cut into squares and serve!

I dare you to eat just one! These are so irresistible!

If you are a seven layer bar fan, you must try this version! It's heavenly to say the least.
